Jolly LLB is an Bollywood courtroom comedy drama film directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film features Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao and Boman Irani in lead roles. The theatrical trailer was revealed on 8 January 2013.

Actor Arshad Warsi has wrapped up shooting of his new film Jolly LLB and calls the entire experience of working on the film "wonderful". "Celebrated the completion of Jolly LLB last night after pack up with the entire cast and crew. 'Jolly LLB has been such a wonderful experience," Arshad tweeted.

"I am always on a lookout for scripts like Jolly LLB, sadly one does not come by scripts like 'JOLLY LLB' too often. Extremely grateful to Fox Star Studios and Subhash Kapur for making and casting me in it," he posted. The film also features actress Amrita Rao.

The film released on 15 March 2013, to positive response from critics, with a good opening at the box office.

Actress Amrita Rao is presently busy with the shooting of JOLLY LLB, and as she gives a lot of weightage to the script and screenplay of her projects, we queried her on choosing the film. Her spontaneous reply surprised us, ''I said OK to JOLLY LLB immediately. It is the quickest instance where I have said 'yes' to a project! The reason is the sheer brilliance of the story and screenplay.'' When we asked her about her role she said, ''I cannot divulge anything at present.''

To take the discussion further, and also douse our curiosity we asked if JOLLY LLB has song and dance or was it a radically 'hatke' film, and Amrita says, ''It has songs. I have already shot for one song and a dance number is to picturised on me and Arshad Warsi.''

Premise

Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly (Arshad Warsi) is a small time advocate, who aspires to be a popular lawyer, who moves from Meerut to Delhi in order to enhance his career opportunities. His only support system in his hometown, his ladylove Sandhya (Amrita Rao), is a school teacher who lives a humble life. Jolly strives hard to make his livelihood in the capital. Jolly gets an opportunity to meet his inspiration, high-profile advocate Rajpal (Boman Irani) in a courtroom. He expresses his awe to his idol and admires him for his intelligence and courage to fight for ‘justice’. Much to his surprise, Jolly is pitted against Rajpal, who shrewdly scores over Jolly by virtue of his obvious position, stature he has attained in his profession and experience, this fight isn’t an easy one.

Jolly suddenly finds himself down from every side with manipulations and threats coming his way. Truth demands strength! So can Jolly uncover the intricacies of the case, and fight the likes of such powerful men? What unfolds is a fascinating legal drama, harsh face offs and a strong ending.

Music

The music of Jolly LLB has been composed by Krsna of Tanu Weds Manu fame. The first song promo, "Mere Toh L Lag Gaye" by Bappi Lahiri was released on 13 February 2013. In the soundtrack, the song has been cut into two different songs, one titled "Law Lag Gaye" whilst the other "L Lag Gaye". The second popular song promo, "Jhooth Boliya" by Kamal Khan was released on 15 February 2013. The full soundtrack was released on 22 February 2013 under the popular label T-Series. It consisted of eight songs.

    This review is brought to you by a special request from my buddy Fez. I didn’t see the first Death Race because it looked exactly like The Condemned (which is awesome, by the way), and I didn’t feel the need to see it again. But shitty sequels are kind of my forte, so I said, "What the hell?" Apparently Death Race 2 and this film were direct-to-DVD, which is another of my specialties, so how could I lose? Since I’m such a professional, I went back and watched Death Race and Death Race 2 to prepare. After watching the first two movies, I was hooked and couldn’t wait to get to Death Race 3: Inferno.

    In the future, the U.S. economy has collapsed. Prisons are owned and run by private corporations for profit. On Terminal Island, the Death Race was created and shown via pay-per-view, and later the internet. The race makes the prisons boat loads of cash and if the inmates die in the process, all the better. 

     Our hero, Frankenstein (Luke Goss) is formerly Carl Lucas. A convicted cop killer, Lucas wears a mask to cover his disfigured face, along with his true identity. He is a four-time winner of the race. A fifth win will earn him his freedom. The problem is that Frankenstein has become the sport’s biggest star. The owners of the prison, and the show, have no plans to let him win and go free.

     The man who owns the rights to death race (Ving Rhames… yeah, Ving Rhames is in it) loses his company in a hostile takeover to Niles York (Dougray Scott). York has plans to take Death Race global, earning himself even more money. Sent to South Africa for the first global Death Race, Frankenstein is reunited with his pit boss Goldberg (Danny Trejo), crew member Lists (Fred Koehler), and navigator Katrina (Tanit Phoenix) who eventually uncover who Frankenstein really is.  

     It doesn’t seem like the plot could be much different than the first two in the series, but there are a few surprises here. A navigator battle to the death, new cars, and new racers, including the first female driver, keep the movie fresh and don’t make the viewer feel like they’ve been here, done that. Fans of the trilogy may be sad to see Frankenstein not driving his customary Mustang, but should be excited that 14K (Robin Shou) is back in action.

      I had some questions about the timelines and characters between the three movies when I started this sequel, but the film makers did a great job tying Inferno to the first two in the series (as if this story was part of the plan all along). Since this was not a theatrical release, they simply could have ignored certain points, but they had enough respect for their fans and their saga to make sure every piece fit together in this puzzle. The ending leaves open the possibility for many future stories to be told as well. 

      Death Race 3 is directed by Roel Reine, who also directed 2. Paul W.S. Anderson directed the first film, and produced 2 and 3 so the movie feels very similar to the first two. With the same people behind the camera, the movie views as a continuation, and not a completely different film as is sometimes the case with lower budget sequels.   also give high praise to the script, as it is the funniest of the three films.

    It’s better if you watch all three movies, obviously, but Death Race 3 is solid by itself. There are enough flashbacks at the beginning that one can get caught up pretty quickly. Although, I don’t know how invested in the story I would be if I had only watched this movie without watching the first two.

 This 1.78:1 1080p transfer is impressive, but not perfect. The hand-held feel of the movie's action has been preserved nicely here, but there are nevertheless a handful of issues with banding and compression artifacting that pop up here and there. Mostly, though, this presentation showcases strong detail quality and well-balanced color accuracy. It's not reference-grade, but it'll do.

  The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix also included on Death Race 3's Blu-ray debut is similarly... fine. This lossless presentation houses audible dialogue and a nice sense of surround presence, but during the movie's endless action sequences, things get a little overloud - it's a fun, panoramic soundscape, but you'll be reaching for your volume remote more than once.

    French and Spanish DTS 5.1 tracks are included, as are English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.

 This comes with both a DVD Edition and a Digital Copy of the film, as well as both the rated and unrated versions of the movie. I don’t understand why film companies do this. Who is going to watch the rated version when the unrated version is right there? Are there people who want killing but not THAT MUCH killing?

Final Thoughts:

    I am so glad my friend asked me to review this. Death Race 3 was a pleasant surprise. In fact, now I’m going to go back and watch the original Death Race 2000 simply because I am so hooked. If you like fast cars, pretty girls, and lots of killing, this is a great way to spend an afternoon. And trust me, there are sequels about fast cars that are much worse (cough, Tokyo Drift, cough).

Plot

   Death Race owner Weyland has been forced to sell the rights to Niles York, a British billionaire who acquired the rights by [hostile takeover]. York reveals he intends to relocate Death Race to the deserts of Africa. Before leaving, Weyland arranges Lucas to have surgery to heal the infected and deadly scars on his face sustained from the previous film ''[Death Race 2]''. With Carl Lucas, aka Frankenstein, one win away from gaining his freedom, York coaches Lucas to lose his races and threatens his life if he fails to comply.

   Before his first race, Lucas engages in a fist fight with other racers and his mask is knocked off in the middle of the fight, revealing to his crew he actually didn't die in the previous film. Before the first race, all of the female navigators had to participate in a Death Match "Navigator Wars" now hosted and produced by Satana. Contestants to be chosen are the top 10 survivors, with Katrina among those who survived. Before the first race, all racers receive shots with GPS locators so the producer will know where all the racers are at all times and so they can be killed if they attempt to escape. During the first race, it is revealed that racing in the deserts of Africa has different variables than racing in prison. Racers can't go as fast and more focus should be spent on handling, in addition to the hostile locals. 11 racers are supposed to take the start, but one jumps the start and is chased by the missile tracker. Two die in the first sector (the racer who jumped at the start, and then Joker). Frankenstein ends up losing his first race by a hair to "Razor".

   After the race, Katrina tells Lucas they can't have a relationship as they previously had. Another fight ensues after the first race and Goldberg is cut in the scuffle. The show's surgeon makes advances to Goldberg and the two establish a relationship. In order to make Katrina jealous, the producer Satana orders Psycho's navigator to have sex with Lucas, who seems to refuse the offer. Satana and York grow suspicious that Lucas is "up to something" due to his non-rebellious attitude to being forced to lose. Lucas then explains to his team mates his deal with York to lose and says instead he made a "new deal". 

   At the end of race 2, Goldberg is caught in an explosion caused by stray bullets from local hostile [[war lord]]s, and is pronounced dead. After the race, York reminds Lucas he is to lose his next race to 14K or he will torture him and his love interest Katrina. Satana then discovers York wishes to replace her as producer and remove her from Death Race so he can assume complete control. Before the next race, Katrina confesses her love to Lucas, and Lucas admits he did not have sex with the other navigator when he had the chance to do so. After the final race begins, York attempts to kill Lucas at the end of the race with a missile aimed at his locater chip. 14K shoots [[Flare (countermeasure)|flare]]s to send the missile off course to save Lucas's life, effectively returning the "life for a life" favor from the previous film when Lucas saved 14K's life from another racer. 

   At the end of the race, Lucas holds a commanding lead and kills many of the Death Race guards along the way, vowing to kill York. However, Lucas allows 14K to pass him and then speeds to York. As York attempts to flee, Satana handcuffs him to the table for attempting to replace her. Lucas crashes his car into the room and explodes, engulfing the room in flames. Initially, it is insinuated that everyone except Lucas perished in the crash. However, it is revealed that Lucas and Katrina escaped unharmed, and framed the now unrecognizable York as Lucas aka Frankenstein. In order to assert York is Frankenstein, Lists confirms it is him, along with the show's surgeon who claims the implanted chip is that of Lucas's. It is then revealed that Lucas's "new deal" he made during the meeting with Weyland in the beginning of the film was to fake Goldbergs death; the surgeon (Goldberg's love interest) falsely pronounced him dead, and after the crash pronounces York, and Katrina as dead and Lucas as the sole survivor. Since York is officially dead, Weyland regains control of Death Race and grants Lucas, Katrina, Lists, and Goldberg their freedom, but Lists elects to stay behind out of instinct. Weyland pays Lucas a substantial amount of money for his help in regaining control of Death Race, and York is framed and forced to become the new Frankenstein.

    Frankenstein is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Death Race film series. Within the film universe, the character is an alias taken on by other characters who participate in the titular race.           

(1) Character biography

 1.Death Race 2000     In the original [Death Race 2000|1975 film], Frankenstein is portrayed as the reigning champion of the Death Race, an annual gladiator-style cross-country race. A symbol of the ruling fascist government, he is a feared racer who is purported to be half-man, half-machine.

   In reality, it turns out that there have been several Frankenstein’s over the years - each one recruited by the government to replace their injured or killed predecessors. In this way, with each man donning the same alias & disguise, Frankenstein seems to be an un-killable opponent who survives any crash or injury. The current Frankenstein (portrayed by [David Carradine]), is disillusioned with the government as well as the race, and plans to assassinate the tyrannical President. Although his plans to win the race and destroy the government are nearly ruined by the actions of a Resistance movement, he eventually succeeds in both winning and killing the President. He then assumes the office of President himself and puts an end to the Death Race.

2.Death Race

In the [[Death Race (film)|2008 remake]] (or prequel) of the 1975 film, ex-race driver '''Jensen Ames''' ([[Jason Statham]]) finds himself imprisoned on Terminal Island after his wife is killed by a masked intruder and he is framed for the crime. Terminal Island is home to a televised gladiator-style race called "Death Race", and Ames soon finds himself forced to race by the tyrannical Warden Hennessey ([[Joan Allen]]). Ames must assume the mantle of Frankenstein, the current leading racer, whose appearance is covered by a leather & metal mask. The previous Frankenstein was killed in a fiery crash, although the prison population believes he has simply spent the last six months recovering in the infirmary. Frankenstein had already won four races, and any convict who can win five earns their freedom - thus Ames is told that he only has to win the current upcoming race in order to be freed. When asked why she is doing this, Hennessy states that Frankenstein is the most popular racer in the history of the race, and ratings would take a sharp hit if his death was announced.

Ames soon deduces that the masked intruder who killed his wife and framed him is a fellow racer named Pachenko. While attacking Pachenko, the man confirms to Ames that Hennessey conceived the plan & had him execute it, assisted by the lead guard. Ames decides to win the Death Race and use it as a means of revenge - both to kill Pachenko as well as to get back at the warden. With only his crew pit knowing the truth about Frankenstein, Ames goes on to uncover what happened to his predecessor and succeeds in using the race to escape along with his chief rival Machine-Gun Joe ([Tyrese Gibson]). Afterwards, a member of his pit crew detonates a bomb in the warden's office, killing both her and the lead guard. 
Assuming Warden Hennessy was replaced after her death, it is unknown if the Frankenstein mantle was resurrected by the next warden.

3.Death Race 2

In this [[Death Race 2|prequel]] to the 2008 film, the origin of Frankenstein is shown. Mobster [[Getaway Driver|driver]] '''Carl "Luke" Lucas''' ([[Luke Goss]]) is captured after a bank robbery gone bad, in which he was to protect the nephew of crime boss Markus Kane ([[Sean Bean]]). Although loyal & refusing to cooperate with authorities, Lucas is marked for death by Kane since he knows too much. He is then sent to Terminal Island, a prison facility run by the Weyland Corporation and used to televise a violent weekly gladiator-style show called "Death Match". Although officially run by the aging warden, Terminal Island is really controlled by September Jones ([[Lauren Cohan]]), a former Miss Universe who lost her crown and now runs the Death Match as Weyland's producer. Impressed by his skills as a fighter, Jones soon forces Lucas to participate in a Death Match fight that results in a large-scale prison riot and ultimately spells the end of the controversial show.

Seeking to recoup her losses, Jones comes up with the idea of a violent gladiator-style race instead, using vehicles that the convicts build in the prison's resident auto shop along with unused space along the island's outer edges. Named "Death Race" by the company's owner, Mr. Weyland ([[Ving Rhames]]), the prize for winning five races is freedom. Seeing the race as his ticket to getting out, Lucas joins the race and ends up driving a heavily-armored [[Ford Mustang]]. Although initially doing well in the first two stages - thanks largely to his superior driving skills - Lucas finds himself targeted by the other racers thanks to the large bounty placed on his head by Markus Kane. During the third stage, he is driven off the track and ends up in a seemingly-fatal crash.

It is later revealed that Lucas survived with 2nd-degree burns over most of his body. The burns were superficial, however, meaning that although he is now horribly scarred, he can still drive. With Carl Lucas legally dead, the mantle of Frankenstein is created by Jones so that not only will the race have a symbolic racer for the populace to enjoy, but Lucas can continue driving for her. With release no longer practical (due to his disfigurement), Lucas agrees to don the mask of Frankenstein and continue racing in the next race. At the beginning of the race, however, he begins by ramming into and killing September Jones. It is then implied that he will continue racing until killed.  After Katrina asks if he has a real name, he answers "Uh-huh. Yeah. Of course I do."

4.Death Race 3: Inferno

In the second [[Death Race: Inferno|prequel]], which is a direct bridge to the 2008 film, Lucas is still Frankenstein. His appearance is restored with reconstructive surgery, but he still does not reveal his identity to his pit crew; however, they discover that Lucas is Frankenstein after his mask is knocked off during a brawl at Kalahari Prison in South Africa, where Lucas and his crew are sent to compete in the first International Death Race. The new race is the brainchild of British billionaire Niles York (Dougray Scott), who buys out the Weyland Corporation in a hostile takeover. Because Lucas has won four of the five races required for his freedom, York informs him that he is to lose the Kalahari race, or he will be killed in the final stage.At the end of the race, Lucas crashes his car into the operations center, where York has been handcuffed to a table by his producer, Satana, incensed by York firing and replacing her. Katrina is assumed killed in the fiery crash, which horribly burns and disfigures York. Thanks to Lists and Satana, the world at large is then led to believe that York is the survived Frankenstein, despite his protestations. It is then revealed in the film's climax that Lucas had made a new deal with Weyland, which allows him and his crew to stage their deaths and escape, with Satana's help. The disfigured York, resigned to the fact that everyone believes he is Frankenstein (and that Niles York is now legally dead), adopts the mantle. The film ends with York, now using an American accent (strongly implying that it is he who is the Frankenstein killed at the start of the 2008 film), stating in voiceover "I am Frankenstein. And I will have my revenge".

It is said by Lists at the end of this movie that he wishes to remain in the prison because, "Prison things make sense." This is why he appears in the 2008 film as well.

        Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns is a 2013 Bollywood romantic thriller drama film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. It is the sequel to the 2011 film, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. The film stars Jimmy Shergill and Mahie Gill, who will all be seen reprising their roles from the previous film, while new additions to the cast include Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan. The film released on March 8, 2013

Synopsis

The Royal Scandal, the war for power and fight for money continues with the return of 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster'. Aditya Pratap Singh (Jimmy Shergill) is crippled and is trying to recover from the physical disability and his wife's betrayal. The lover cum seductress Madhavi Devi (Mahie Gill) is now an politician. Her relationship with Aditya may have broken to shambles but her relation with alcohol is deep, dark and daunting. Indrajeet Singh (Irrfan Khan), a ragged prince who has lost everything but his pride, pledges to get back his family's respect which was once destroyed by Aditya's ancestors. Ranjana (Soha Ali Khan) is a modern ambitious girl who is madly in love with Indrajeet Singh. The story takes a new turn when Aditya falls in love with Ranjana and forces Birendra (Raj Babbar) her father, for their marriage. In this game of live chess between Saheb, Biwi and Gangster, the winner, the survivor takes it all. 

 Casting

1.  The sequel was announced following the huge critical success of the first part, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. It was announced that from the first part, Jimmy Shergill and Mahie Gill will be seen reprising their roles. It was also announced that the role of the Gangster and the second actress were to be finalized later. In January 2012, Neil Nitin Mukesh was signed on to play the gangster. However due to differences between Mukesh and the film's producers, Mukesh was dropped from the part and Irrfan Khan was cast.

( I ) .  Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 2 needed an older actor, claim the filmmakers

                                                                  

Reason: "We felt that the script required an older actor. Neil would have been nice, and he was very excited to be part of the film. However, it was a creative decision that we took. We would love to work with Neil in the future," explained producer Rahul Mitra.
 Talking about the film, Mittra said, "Irrfan's character is also from a royal family and takes great pride in the fact. However there are twists and turns, and he lands up in the haveli where the saheb and biwi live." Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, which garnered rave reviews, had Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahie Gill in the role of saheb and biwi, respectively, while Randeep Hooda essayed the role of the gangster, who dies in the end.
 "Although Randeep died in part 1, we're bringing him back in the sequel. The reason for the sequel is that the audience wants to see how the story will move forward, and it makes great business sense," Mittra added. Talking about the film, Mittra said, "Irrfan's character is also from a royal family and takes great pride in the fact.  The best part is that Irrfan and Tigmanshu are back together after a long gap since Haasil and Charas.

2.  In the film, Khan will be seen playing royalty who has lost everything and is now out to kill Saheb. In March 2012, Soha Ali Khan was confirmed to play Irrfan Khan's love interest.

                                                   

( II ) .  Soha Ali Khan has bagged the role opposite Irrfan Khan in 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster' sequel. She will be seen playing Irrfan Khan's tormented wife.
Soha Ali Khan will play a very mysterious character in the film. Soha is really excited to play this role because her look has been inspired by her mother Sharmila Tagore's look in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Anupama. In fact Soha will be seen wearing sarees in the film.
The sequel will also have the original trio Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill and Randeep Hooda. Irrfan and Soha will play the other couple

3. Raj Babbar was soon cast to play the role of Soha Ali Khan's father. Actress Neha Dhupia was signed on in September 2012 to appear in an item number,however due to date issues she left the project and Mugdha Godse has replaced her.

                                                  

( III ) .  The hottie beauty of B-town Neha Dhupia is going to don the item tag for the very first time...
In the upcoming sequel of 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster', Neha is said to be roped in for a special number, which is heard to be the sexy part of the film.
Recently, main lead Irrfan Khan requested the makers of the film to do away with any steam scenes, citing that a film can do well even without hot chemistry.
So in order to top up the oomph factor of the film, the makers thought of including an item song.
Buzz is that Neha will be seen in a very steamy avatar in her first item song in this film.
The track will be shot next month in the serene locales of Jaipur. The song has been composed by Sandeep Chowta and penned by Kausar Munir.

( IV ) .  Mugdha replaces Neha in item song of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns

 Mugdha Godse has replaced Neha Dhupia to do an item song in Tigmanshu Dhulia's sequel to Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. Neha had to opt out of it due to date issues.
 Confirming the same, Neha tweeted, "Much against my wishes n the team of saheb biwi aor gangster2 , I had to opt out of the item song as my dates did not work out! The time I spent with tigmanshudhulia and his team was tons of fun. N v look forward to workin with each other in the future! clarified"

Filming
Filming began in April 2012 in Gujarat and was wrapped up in October 2012, working to an intended budget of Rs 7 crore.
It doesn’t happen often that within six months of the film’s release, a sequel goes on floors. That’s Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster for you. 
The makers of the film are already finalising the script and will soon start on the pre-production of the film.

 First time producer Rahul Mittra was a happy man with the returns of Saheb… “We managed to break even soon after the release and with the way the audience lapped up every bit of the film, we knew a sequel had to be made. In fact, the open-ended finale suggested the same,” he informs. The sequel will, of course, be a continuation from where the story ended. “We will stick with the primary cast — Randeep Hooda, Mahie Gill and Jimmy Shergill. The franchise has fared quite well and these actors have been accepted in their characters,” explains Rahul, adding, “But there will be some surprise elements and we are working out the dates with some well-known actors.”
While there are filmmakers who wait for years to make a sequel, trusting the shelf life of their product, Rahul feels it’s important to hit the iron when it’s red hot. “I know I have an audience who is waiting to see what happens next in the lives of sahib, biwi and gangster. Also, from a business point of view I felt the time is right,” he states.
But the responsibility in making a sequel to a successful film is very high. “It should be such that it connects to the previous film as well as stands independently. The intrigue value too should remain intact, with a twist every five minutes,” Rahul says. While Saheb… was made in Rs4 crore, for the sequel the budget has been extended to Rs7 crore.
While the award season is under way, Saheb… missed out on key nominations for screenplay, direction or even dialogues. “We never made the film for awards. I must confess that it does feel bad at times, but the audience has been kind to us. Tigmanshu (Dhulia) has done a wonderful job of directing the film,” he signs off.
The first look of Tigmanshu Dhulia's next directorial venture Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns has been revealed.After the success of  Paan Singh Tomar, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Irrfan are teaming up once again.The film is scheduled to hit the screens on March 8, 2013.

Soha happy with 'Sahib, Biwi aur Gangster Returns'

Airport".Actress Soha Ali Khan, who is part of "Sahib, Biwi aur Gangster Returns", says the film is now complete and she is sure that the audience will lik"e it.
 "Part two of 'Sahib, Biwi Aur Gangster' is ready. It is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. I am waiting for its release March 8," the 32-year-old said at an educational initiative by Classmate.
"The film is complete and that is why I can say that it is a wonderful film. The script and all the characters are strong," she added.
 The movie is a sequel to the "Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster", which released in 2011. It stars Jimmy Shergill, Mahie Gill, Randeep Hooda, Soha Ali Khan, Irrfan and Neha Dhupia.
 "People will like it because Tigmanshu Dhulia is a brilliant director and I had fun working with him," Soha said.
